I think we can all say it’s at least a start. Now what to do about the commercial and rental property owners and their sky-rocketing taxes, which obviously also affect the tenants and business owners.

Here’s a site that reviews the implications to different types of property owners:

I was all over that site this weekend reading the comments on the tax plan!

Big Deal! I knew we would end up with some “watered down” compromise like this. What we need is real property tax reform. What we got is a 7% reduction. Property values have increased 100% in the last 5 years. I think this is hardly equitable. I’m extremely disappointed.

Hoping you don’t mind me voting. I’m not from Florida.
What a great way to get feedback from your readers.

I beleive the New so called property tax reform is horrible.
If you a are new home buyer initially it will be cheaper and then it will increase at a dramatic rate every year. If you are and old homeowner 6 years or more you will see no savings.
If you check out the table at the broward county property appraiser website you can see what your property taxes would be in 7 years with out the SOH.
The senate and house have given us a raw deal and we need to vote NO on this.
