Florida Voters are Not Satisfied With The Property Tax Reform
My poll results on The Real Estate Sizzle yesterday about the Property Tax Reform measure passed by the Florida legislature mimic similar polls around the state. It indicates that Florida voters are NOT happy. They dont see it as the solution to the escalating property taxes in the State of Florida. Or, the overspending by local governments. My predictionthe amendment will NOT get 60% of the vote on January 29, 2008. Florida Legislatorsget back to Tallahasseewe want a REAL plan!
Here are the current results from the Sizzle Poll..
Do you think the new property tax plan will lower the property tax enough to make a substantial difference to homeowners?
Yes 13%
No 77%
Not Sure 10%
You can still vote in the poll.
A similar poll in the Naples News asked ..
Are you satisfied with lawmakers decision on property tax reform? Here are the results, as of today.
Yes 28%
No 71%
I hope the Florida Legislature is tuned in to google alerts Floridians are already casting their ballots

Jackie,
I am so impressed with both you and your blog. You have put forth both the energy and effort required to make it a great site. I knew you were strong and determined, I just don’t think I knew to what extent! Fantastic job!!

Nice little poll there. The question that I’m getting from most of my cliets are: Property Taxes and Home Insurance. Seems that our state govt is not on the same page as the rest of the homeowners. Can’t wait to find out the REAL plan. ~Marc

I am not happy with the proposed new real estate tax plan and intend to write to my state legislator informing him that something better must be done.
