Just Weeks to Superbowl in Tampa…Find Superbowl Rentals and Great Places to Eat in the Tampa Real Estate Market
Filed under: Best Places, Best Places in Tampa, Buying a House in Tampa, Celebrity Homes inTampa, Restaurants in Tampa
Superbowl Sunday is fast approaching and football fans will be heading to Tampa! Tampa is a great city with plenty of things to do and great places to eat! You can get from Downtown Tampa to the airport, or Raymond James Stadium in 15 minutes. You can be on Clearwater Beach in 30 minutes!
If you choose to stay “in the heart of South Tampa”, you will find great places within a 5 minute drive. I live in South Tampa…it has unique shops and restaurants, little traffic and a “small town feel”…like “Mayberry” in the middle of a big city! Just ten minutes to the Stadium…you can’t beat it!While there is a “Bonefish Grill” or “Outback Steakhouse” nearly everywhere (though they started in Tampa), you should avoid the “chains” and experience some of our unique places to eat.
Enjoy some of my previous articles on “Great Places to Eat” in Tampa…you are likely to see me at any one of them while you are here!
Enjoy your stay in Tampa….please contact me if I can help with a luxury rental for Superbowl week, Tampa Real Estate, Clearwater Real Estate, or just need a little “local” advice while you are in town!

The Best Places to Live in the World…Tampa Real Estate Market News and More
Filed under: Best Places, Buying a House in Tampa, International Real Estate, MLS Listings in Tampa, MLS Search, MacDill AFB, Moving to Tampa, Places to Live, Real Estate News, Tampa MLS Listings, Tampa Real Estate
Sometimes I enjoy stepping outside the Tampa Real Estate Market, to talk about real estate in other parts of the world.
Many Americans find themselves dreaming of living outside the United States someday. Increasing numbers of Americans are choosing to live in foreign countries, with quality of life , as one of the most influential factors in their decision-making process about where to live.
The latest rankings, from Business Week magazine, show the Best Places to live in the World.
1. Zurich, Switzerland
2. Vienna, Austria and Geneva, Switzerland(tie)
4.Vancouver, Canada
5. Auckland, New Zealand
6. Dusseldorf, Germany
7. Munich, Germany and Frankfurt, Germany (tie)
9. Bern, Switzerland
10. Sydney, Australia
Clearly, the Swiss and the Germans know a thing, or two, about creating a fabulous place to live! I lived close to Bern, so I can attest to the sweet life in Switzerland! I have been to all, but 3, of these places. If I could only select one of these amazing cities to live in, it would be a very difficult choice.
How about the U.S. rankings? The highest ranking city was Honolulu, Hawaii, which came in at number 28.
The lowest ranking city in the world? No surpriseBaghdad!
If you are dreaming of a life off shore someday, or just looking for a home in the Tampa Real Estate Market, contact me. As a Certified International Property Specialist, I can help you with the ideal property, anywhere in the world!

Tampa Schools Are on Summer Vacation…Where to Take the Kids This Summer? Tampa Real Estate News and More!
Filed under: Best Places, Real Estate News, Single Parent News, Tampa Real Estate, Things to do in Tampa, Travel
June 4th is the last day of school in Hillsborough County and summer is well underway. Students will return to the Classroom in August . Florida schools have an earlier summer than the rest of the country, which can make vacation planning a challenge. If you want your child to have other children to play with on vacation, you should plan a vacation sometime in late June to early August, when the rest of the country is also out for the summer , or stay in Florida and enjoy some of our fabulous family-oriented resorts. Conversely, if you are heading to Europe, go in Early June and avoid the summer crowds and the heat, as many shops, restaurants and smaller hotels do not have Air conditioning and all of Europe seems to be on holiday in August.
These are some of my favorite family vacation spots.
There is something for everyone on the Cape from Beaches to Bumper Cars. You trip is not complete without a meal at the Clam Box! Stay at the Chatham Bars Inn for a little pampering right on the ocean, New England-style.
Shelling is the favorite pastime on the islands off the coast near Fort Myers. The islands are perfect for long bike rides and the living is sweet at South Seas Plantation. Its laid back Florida with fun dining at the Bubble Room and the Mucky Duck
Cruises are family friendly with plenty of activities for kids and their parents. The trips to the Caribbean exploring Mayan ruins and local treasures are loads of fun. The ship has activities from dawn to the wee hours…If anyone is bored, it’s not because there is “nothing to do!” From Pool games to limbo dancing and blackjack tables to feasting on the “Midnight Buffet”…who could complain?
Charleston, South Carolina
Ghost walks, low-country cooking and plenty of old-fashioned Southern Charm abound in this great waterside city! Wander through the old cemetery and take a horse-drawn carriage ride. This is my favorite “Southern” City! Be sure to feast on some low country cooking shrimp and grits!
You can explore the Green Mountains, go boating on Lake Champlain and enjoy a tour, and a taste, at Ben and Jerrys ice cream factory! Head to a local Maple farm for some maple syrup, or the Cabot cheese factory for a little Vermont cheddar. Smugglers Notch is a family-oriented resort in the heart of it all.
The ultimate destination, in spite of the cost of the Euro!especially for teenagers. You can spend an entire day in the Louvre, ride to the top of the eiffel tower and seek out the perfect skateboard in a local skate shop! Nibble on crepes from street vendors and enjoy french pastries from the local patisserie. Stop in at Angelina, for the best hot chocolate in Paris.

The Best Places to Eat In Clearwater Beach
Filed under: Best Places, Clearwater Beach Real Estate, Restaurants in Tampa
When you are looking for the perfect condominium on Clearwater Beach, chances are good that you will be within walking distance to some great restaurants.
Along Mandalay Avenue, you will find plenty of dining options available, ranging from casual to fine dining. Right on the beach you can nibble on fresh seafood, in a laid-back atmophere, at Frenchys. Just steps away, another easy-going place, is Palm Pavillion.
A trip to Clearwater Beach is not complete without a visit to Heilmans Beachcomber or the sister restaurant, Bobbys Bistro. The Mandalay Grill is one of the newer spots on the scene.
For more upscale dining, you can head over to the Sandpearl resort for a memorable meal at Carretta on the Gulf. You must try the Dover Sole stuffed with Lobster Mousse. It is fabulous!
A little off the beaten path, but surely not to be missed, are the Island Way Grill and Cesares on The Beach. Cesar Tini, of the Donatello and Cafe Paradiso restarants in Tampa, has ventured across the bay, with rave reviews.
What are some of your favorite places to eat on Clearwater Beach??
