'Restaurants in Tampa'
A New Dining Choice in St. Pete is “Tres Bon”…Tampa Real Estate News and More
Filed under: Restaurants in Tampa
The Latest News on the Tampa Real Estate Market, Living in Tampa and the International Real Estate Market…
Living in South Tampa, diners have many great restaurant options. I have a list of favorites, but often I want to venture across the bridge to Downtown St. Petersburg to get out of my “rut”. My new “favorite” on the scene is the St. Pete Brasserie on Central Avenue. The decor is chic moderne, but the menu is a twist on the Classic French Brasserie.
There are few options in the Tampa Bay area for escargot lovers like myself, so I was pleasantly surprised when the “slugs” appeared “en pot”, yet doused in the fabulous garlic butter. So, fabulous, they were, that I ordered them again, on my second visit, but was really tempted by the mussels gratinee, sampled on my first foray at the venue. A wide variety of menu options should please most palates and a four course prix-fixe menu for $19 is a steal!
What to order? Cassoulet…delicious. Moules frites…yummy! Roast chicken, duck confit, lamb chops, steak frites? You can’t go wrong! And, yes, take a chance on the Cod with Brussel Sprouts…fabulous!
The unique wine list offers some GREAT wines, so ask for a recommendation. We enjoyed a popular Malbec called Mar.
The only “negative” comment from my dining companions was about the “smaller” portion size, compared to most restaurants. Having lived in Europe, I laughed at the comment and said, “this is a normal portion, hence the obesity in the U.S.”.
All in all, the St. Pete Brasserie makes my “top ten” favorite restaurants in the Tampa Bay area.

Just Weeks to Superbowl in Tampa…Find Superbowl Rentals and Great Places to Eat in the Tampa Real Estate Market

Superbowl Sunday is fast approaching and football fans will be heading to Tampa! Tampa is a great city with plenty of things to do and great places to eat! You can get from Downtown Tampa to the airport, or Raymond James Stadium in 15 minutes. You can be on Clearwater Beach in 30 minutes!
If you choose to stay “in the heart of South Tampa”, you will find great places within a 5 minute drive. I live in South Tampa…it has unique shops and restaurants, little traffic and a “small town feel”…like “Mayberry” in the middle of a big city! Just ten minutes to the Stadium…you can’t beat it!While there is a “Bonefish Grill” or “Outback Steakhouse” nearly everywhere (though they started in Tampa), you should avoid the “chains” and experience some of our unique places to eat.
Enjoy some of my previous articles on “Great Places to Eat” in Tampa…you are likely to see me at any one of them while you are here!

New Wine Bar in Downtown Tampa Opens with Less Than Rave Reviews! Tampa Real Estate News and More
Filed under: Best Places in Tampa, Real Estate News, Restaurants in Tampa, Tampa Neighborhoods, Tampa Real Estate, Tampa Real Estate Agent, Things to do in Tampa
The Latest News about Living in Tampa, and The Tampa Real Estate Market, every day on the Real Estate Sizzle!
A review by Michael Nemcik, my first guest blogger and local foodie!
When I first heard that Downtown Tampa was opening a new wine bar I was not an early adopter. I usually choose to enjoy South Tampa, as it seems to have so much more to offer. Other than Fly Bar, there isnt much reason to venture north of Kennedy. When a reputable source of wine knowledge told me he was involved, I thought that I would have to try it. I am a big fan of wine bars, mostly because of The Wine Room in Winter Park, Orlando which I have been visiting for quite some time.
Taps, located adjacent to SkyPoint tries to be a wine bar / lounge / night club at the same time. It features a large selection of artisan and craft beer on the left hand side, with push button wine selections on the right. I have been three times, compelled by friends to visit mostly. It seems more attention is paid to the beer than the wine, as the selection neither changed nor grew in the times I have visited. The soft, Miami style couches with a distinct lounge feel are usually setup outside, sometimes packed and roped off. Breitling watches and spray on tans make you feel like you are at the hot spot.
The first time I went I believe XM radio was playing some uncharacteristic rock, and the sun glaring through the naked windows gave me a micro tan, as I sipped my micro brew. The lovely waitress proved to be just expensive good looks when she guessed on two of the five cheeses arriving on our lack luster cheese plate, one of which was uninspired cheddar.
Bottom line, go for drinks. Taps is like a welcomed launch/landing pad where one can begin on a voyage to Ybor City or Channel Side, or finish up with a soft red treasure.

Comfortable Outdoor Dining in Tampa in the SUMMER? Absolutely…Tampa Real Estate Market News and More!
Filed under: Buying a House in Tampa, Davis Islands Real Estate, Restaurants in Tampa, Tampa Neighborhoods, Tampa Real Estate, Tampa Real Estate Agent, Things to do in Tampa
The latest news on the Tampa Real Estate Market and everything about living in Tampa every day on The Real Estate Sizzle, from the Real Estate agent who LOVES great food!
Half the fun of moving to Tampa is finding all of the unique and interesting restaurants available. If you are moving from one of the northern states, chances are, you will welcome the opportunity for a little dining al fresco ! Its no secret, Tampa summers are HOT and HUMID, so finding a cool spot for outdoor dining gets a bit tricky!
One of my favorite places to eat, Chez Bryce, a little French Bistro on Davis Islands, in South Tampa, has made some changes to make the patio dining experience tres magnifique !
I have written about Chez Bryce many times, but it just keeps getting better. Bryce has just added mister fans all around the patio dining
area! I love thema cool breeze is always flowing, despite the heat and humidity!
Then, there is the guitar player… strumming sweet melodies every night! This is as good as it gets!
Summer specials are also very popular! Tuesdays are busy with a Moules Frites specialthe popular french dish of Mussels with French Fries, along with a glass of the house wine is just $15.00. The mussels are delicately prepared in a white wine, butter, garlic and herb sauce. And the frites wellyou havent tasted anything quite like them, since your last trip to France!
Wednesdays you can feast on Bryces Mediterranean Grill , or join him for lunch for Dejeuner a Deux a daily lunch special for two at under $16.00!
Try some of my personal favorites: Cod Beignets, Clams with Chorizo, Roasted Pork and anything with Duck Confit! I have a favorite table, too, but, please dont sit therechances are I am on my way for lunch, or dinner!
You can read more about Chez Bryce in my previous article.

The Best Places to Eat In Clearwater Beach
Filed under: Best Places, Clearwater Beach Real Estate, Restaurants in Tampa
When you are looking for the perfect condominium on Clearwater Beach, chances are good that you will be within walking distance to some great restaurants.
Along Mandalay Avenue, you will find plenty of dining options available, ranging from casual to fine dining. Right on the beach you can nibble on fresh seafood, in a laid-back atmophere, at Frenchys. Just steps away, another easy-going place, is Palm Pavillion.
A trip to Clearwater Beach is not complete without a visit to Heilmans Beachcomber or the sister restaurant, Bobbys Bistro. The Mandalay Grill is one of the newer spots on the scene.
For more upscale dining, you can head over to the Sandpearl resort for a memorable meal at Carretta on the Gulf. You must try the Dover Sole stuffed with Lobster Mousse. It is fabulous!
A little off the beaten path, but surely not to be missed, are the Island Way Grill and Cesares on The Beach. Cesar Tini, of the Donatello and Cafe Paradiso restarants in Tampa, has ventured across the bay, with rave reviews.
What are some of your favorite places to eat on Clearwater Beach??
